“I have a great talent for making the best out of every situation.” Sabine Wittig, PR consultant, shop owner, interior blogger

8. March 2017

Today is International Women’s Day, time for #mygreateststrength and the perfect day to remind us that women should work together and not against each other, support and not diss each other. There are others who are already doing this. Let us inspire, empower and encourage each other. Because when women support each other, incredible things happen.

Sabine of azurweiss is pure Zen to me. Her delicate, puristic photos and her calm, relaxed manner make me always pause for a moment. To me personally that is one of her greatest strengths and what does Sabine say?

“My greatest strength? I think it is a combination of optimism, confidence, curiosity, self-responsibility and gratitude. I have a very good talent for making the best out of every situation. Changes don´t pose a threat to me – usually I see chances, possibilities, new things. “Change is good” – this saying by Therese Sennerholt is hanging on the wall of my office and it fits very well to my life. However: the current global political developments, the increasing egoism and everyday aggressivity are difficult to bear even with my positive attitude. So I decided to counteract at least on a small scale.

For some time now I´m trying deliberately to reciprocate grumpy behavior with kindness or humor. At the supermarket, on the train, at the bakery. Most people react very nicely and the situation is almost immediately a completely different one.

My consumer behavior has also changed in recent years. I don´t want to give my money to the already monopolistic companies but rather support small labels and independent retailers. There are so many great companies out there that are good employers, selling great products, engaging in their environment, paying taxes. To me it just feels just good to buy there. This has also a lot to do with appreciation and solidarity. And I think that is especially important at the moment.”
